After the success of last years European tour, the temptation to repeat that success has proven too great and the "Big 4" of Thrash Metal have announced a single, solitary show date in North America, in Indio California the week after the massive Coachella plays the same patch of desert. On Saturday, April 23, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will come together at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California for what is promising to be the North American metal event of the year. The real question is, of course, is this massive metal machine plotting a course for a bigger tour across North America to come later?

Slayers' Kerry King has been mum on the subject, even during his one hour audio interview earlier this month with our parent site kingsnake.com, and I don't expect my frantic text messages today secured me anything more than a ticket to the Indio show, but so far he has neither confirmed nor denied so the possibility remains open. So, regardless of the possibility, see you in the desert in April and stay tuned - you never know what may happen...
