Legendary Texas band the Toadies will be performing 5 reunion concerts across the state with stops in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Grand Prairie in December as well as 3 additional just announced dates in Louisiana and Arkansas.
After releasing their debut album,
Rubberneck 1994 on Interscope, to both wide critical acclaim and commercial success, achieving Platinum status in 1995, issues with their record company delayed the release of the second disc,
Hell Below / Stars Above, until 2001 and 5 months later the band broke up, leaving fans worldwide wanting more.
After 2 reunion shows in 2006, the reformed band played several Texas dates in the spring of 2007, including 2 sold out nights at Stubb's BarBQ in Austin right before the start of it's annual SXSW festival. We got a chance to speak with Vaden Todd Lewis, the distinctive voice that helps set the Toadies apart from any other band. The audio interview is after the jump
