THE ENEMY UK RETURN WITH SOPHOMORE ALBUM
“MUSIC FOR THE PEOPLE” AVAILABLE DIGITALLY APRIL 28th

Burbank, CA- The Enemy UK, the critically-revered Coventry, England trio, is poised to release MUSIC FOR THE PEOPLE, their new, second album digitally this Tues, April 28th through iTunes and all participating digital retailers. Fans can also go to the bands MySpace site to hear a complete stream of the album. Details on a domestic CD release date will be confirmed shortly.

The bands debut album, WE’LL LIVE AND DIE IN THESE TOWNS, burst out of the British Midlands straight to the top of the UK album charts at the #1 position upon release and experienced an explosion of popularity worldwide: “This will be the genesis of a thousand bands in Britain, The Enemy [UK] are the sound of British Rock n Roll.” - NME

The band quickly found themselves becoming a consistent mainstay on the pop charts and within the pages of NME magazine, gracing the cover six times. The Pop Chart success spawned a slew of awards: “Best New Act” from Q Magazine, “Best British Debut Album" at the XFM Awards and “Best New Band” at the NME Awards.

Overseas in the US, critics and fans immediately embraced THE ENEMY UK on the strength of their instantly memorable and melodic rock anthems and empowering lyrical stance that resonated with the frustrations and celebrations of youth culture globally: “Young Britons celebrate the working-class with ace tunes. Clarke and his mates care more about penning meaningful tunes than being fashionable.” – Spin Magazine

"The new record will blow a lot of people away,” insists Tom Clarke (vocals, guitar). “There are people who don't know our band yet or write us off as three-chord indie who are going to be surprised. We have really grown a set of bollocks, that's the only way to describe it. People have forgotten how to record proper rock n roll records," he states. “It's a big sounding record…we didn't really hold back. We've spent two years on the road and we wanted something that showed how big the band can be.”

MUSIC FOR THE PEOPLE was recorded at Monnow Valley Studios late in 2008, with producer Mike Crossy (Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight). The albums’ first single and video will be “No Time For Tears.”
